As most of you junior high students are aware, the McDowell Art Room is one of the best places to be! I personally think of it as my “happy place” and love sharing it with any student that puts forth their best effort. The 2011 – 2012 school year will be full of new and exciting experiences and I am looking forward to it.

All art students will be bringing their artwork home with them at the end of the school day.
Students, remember to take your work home and share it with your family.  Look for a special place in your home that you can display your artwork I am very proud of the creative art students at McDowell and am looking forward to another great school year. Enjoy your summer and keep making art!

The celebration of the arts use to have work from every art student in the school district and was an awesome site to see!  The huge display of Kindergarten work through 12th. grade Senior work showed the progression and growth our school district’s art student receive through their art classes.  Now, the elementary schools host individual art shows; McDowell and Logan Elm High School continue to carry on a tradition of an annual art show in conjunction with the spring music concerts.  Art students from grades 7 through 12 have art work displayed. The work is judged and blue ribbons are awarded along with Best of Show awards.  May 17th. at 7 PM is the junior high spring concert and May 19th. at 7PM is the high school spring concert.   Please come and enjoy an even of art and entertainment!
